A two day forum of discussion related to the impacts of the proposed LNG Terminal site on Lelu Island will take place on Friday and Saturday at the Highliner Plaza and Hotel Conference Centre.
The Salmon Nation Summit, hosted by the Friends of Wild Salmon group, is taking place as a show of support for those members of the Lax Kw'alaams First Nation that are currently on Lelu Island.
With the two days to feature a range of guest speakers to provide information on the perceived impacts that opponents to the development project believe will be found on Lelu Island and the Flora Bank area.
Friday's opening sessions get underway from 1 to 5 PM, with an overview of the science compiled as part of such studies as the recent Lax Kw'alaams Fishery study.
Saturday's events which take place from 9 AM to 4:30 feature an overview of the political, economic and legal issues related to the project, as well as a number of statements from Skeena First Nations leaders.
