Northern Health Q And A session with Prince Rupert Council set for October 25th

Prince Rupert may be getting a little bit closer towards success when it comes to the creation of the long delayed Health Advisory Committee, that as Councillor Barry Cunningham announced on Monday that officials from Northern Health will be at the October 25th Council session to answer some of the community concerns.

Mr. Cunningham did not mention his Advisory Committee at Monday's Council session, but in some past council meetings the first step had been identified that a meeting with Northern Health would be required to move the initiative forward.

As for the end of the month Q and A, part of the arrangement with City Council is that they will provide Northern Health with questions prior to the meeting and towards that, the Councillor has called on the members of the community to take advantage of the opportunity.

"If anyone has any questions or concerns about health care, or our hospital. They can either send a question to myself or anyone on Council to be asked and the sooner they do it the better ... a lot of people have a lot of questions and concerns and there's a lot of mis-conceptions out there. And I think it's a good time to put some of them to rest and answer a lot of questions. So Im hoping that people will actually come forward instead of just putting things out on Facebook and not getting any answers"

The Councillor's update can be viewed from the City's Video Archive starting at the  two hour, two minute mark.
