Upcoming SD52 meeting provides an opportunity for Trustees to expand on their communication plans

SD52 Board of Education trustees will host their Second
Board meeting of the school year on Tuesday, the session
taking place in their space at the Booth operations building

The Trustees of School District 52 will be hosting their second Board meeting of the school year just after the Thanksgiving Holiday break, with the collective set to meet on Tuesday, October 12th.

When they gather, there may be an opportunity for follow up on a couple of themes that came out their first meeting of the year in mid September.

The first an update for School families, School staff members and the general public as to the progress for their forensic audit of the School District, an initiative that they introduced in September

An update on the momentum for the other initiative that they introduced in September, could also be welcome, with the Board having announced plans to record their monthly meetings, with the recordings to be made available through the district website for anyone wishing to review the record from each of their public sessions.

So far the SD52 website does not offer up an indication that space has been created for that archive, a project that would be quite a step up in the School Districts communication strategy and would go somewhat towards providing some form of an archive of their past work for review by parents and other stakeholders.

For those with an interest in what's ahead for Tuesday night, you can review the SD52 Board agenda package here. The Board meeting will take place in the SD52 meeting room at the Booth Operations Building at Hays Cove Circle.

More notes on themes of education across the Northwest can be explored here.
