City of Prince Rupert CFO Corinne Bomben |
Tonight marks the night where Council will review the status of their Five Year Forecast, with the City's Chief Financial Officer set to deliver the review and changes ahead.
Ms. Bomben delivered a heads up for Council in August, noting at the time the review process was still underway, with the amendment due by the start of October at the latest.
There's not much mention of COVID in the Amendment report and whether it has posed any challenges for civic finances over the last seven months, something that Council members may enquire about tonight as part of the council Session.
However of significant note for this evening, is some background for a number of high profile projects which do get a shout out in the report.
The first the ongoing work related to the removal of the remaining ground tanks in the Moresby Park area, the second some success apparently towards the City finally moving forward with a replacement of the city's RCMP detachment.
Ms. Bomben will also make note of some partial funding that has been received for the proposed Water Treatment Plant and the Submarine Line to the city from the Woodworth Lake water supply.
