Monday night, City Council relayed some of the news out of a closed session of late November, with the Council members releasing the names of two appointments to the Prince Rupert Tourism Board.
The City's Corporate Administrator Mr. Rory Mandryk outlined the background to a decision from a closed meeting of November 26th where Council members had voted to appoint Mr. Mike Cote and Ms. Janess Iverson to the Board of Tourism Prince Rupert.
The decision, which came following a secret ballot at the November 26th Council session will see Mr. Cote and Ms. Iverson take their place on the Board in January.
The call for applicants for the Board was issued in October, Council did not disclose how many applications were received for the Board opportunities.
