That number recorded in the City's Annual Report of June, which provided a snap shot of just how far reaching that the duties of the civic work force are.
Last Wednesday, Thirty one civic employees were recognized for varying levels of service, eighteen of whom were in attendance at the reception to receive their awards from City of Prince Rupert managers and to hear from Mayor Lee Brain.
Of the list of thirty one, five were honoured for 30 years or more of service to the City.
Franca Miele -- 35 years
Paul Anderson -- 30 years
Christine Desautels -- 30 years
Jose Soares -- 30 years

The City of Prince Rupert has posted a photo array of all of those to receive recognition at the event, which you can review here.
