Nomination forms for the 2018 Municipal election are now available at Prince Rupert City Hall |
Or, maybe you want to share your civic mindedness by serving on Prince Rupert's City Council, seeking one of the six seats that deliver civic governance in the community.
Well, if so, the City's Chief Election Officer Corinne Bomben has delivered the 4-1-1 when it comes to this years Municipal election in October.
As we've been noting this week, communities across Northwestern British Columbia are ramping up the municipal election planning, making the papers for nomination in the October 20th campaigns available to would be local politicians.
On Wednesday, the City of Prince Rupert joined that list, posting its own notice for the public to the city's website and advising the public through their social media information feeds.
Key to the early process, the nomination forms for this years election cycle are now available from the City of Prince Rupert Administration Office during its regular office hours of 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
The time frame for your submission of your papers runs from September 4th until September 14th.
The Municipal election takes place on Saturday, October 20th.
The Notice from the City also outlines the qualifications required for office, notes on the List of Registered electors and other items of interest related to the electoral process.
As we noted earlier this week, we are hosting an archive of items of note related to this years Municipal and School District elections for communities across the Northwest.
Those archives can be accessed from the links below:
