Residents of the Northwest and Haida Gwaii that may have some travel plans in the works with BC Ferries will want to take note of their latest sailing promotion, which finds all sailings on the North Coast available for half price for a one month period starting in November.
The promotion follows on the success of similar project last fall which saw travellers in British Columbia take advantage of the reduced rate which provided for over 3,000 promotional sailings across the BC Ferries system.
For the North Coast, Central Coast and Haida Gwaii the Fifty Per Cent off rate runs from November 14 to December 18 and will be in place for all sailings on all routes of the Northern service.
The 50 per cent fare discount will apply to cars, motorcycles, trucks, SUVs, vans or recreational vehicles (discount applies to the first 20 feet of vehicle length only).
“BC Ferries is pleased to once again offer this vehicle promotion for customers to enjoy some savings this fall,” ... “We understand fare affordability remains a key concern for customers and hope they take advantage of this promotion when planning their fall travel. It was very popular last year and encouraged many passengers to travel on off-peak sailings, which helps shift traffic across our system.” -- Mike Corrigan, BC Ferries’ President and CEO on the fall savings fares.
