There's only a few days left for those contractors looking to take on a proposed refurbishment of the Russell Gamble Gymnasium facilities at the Civic Centre to get there bids in, with the City of Prince Rupert accepting tenders for the project until 4 PM on March 8th.
The project will involve a deep sanding and finishing of the Gymnasium floor followed by the painting of the various game lines for sports played in the gymnasium through the year.
Once all the bids are in and providing the numbers are in the range that the City has in mind for the project, the process of some major work on the floor of the Gymnasium at the Civic Centre will get under way.
The project is expected to take place from July 29th to August 17th, with a completion date noted in the request for bids to be by August 17th.
The awarding of the contract is subject to budget approval and if a successful candidate is found as part of the bidding process the contract is to be awarded within fifteen days of the March 8th closing date.

The tender was placed into the inventory of the Province of British Columbia's Bid BC program.
