British Columbia's MLA's entered their second week of the Spring session with the recent Budget still very much of the main focus for debate, with members from he Government side and the opposition speaking to the financial plans for the year ahead.
The week was also one which observed the Annual Pink Shirt Day movement, with the Province taking note of the activities.
The Premier, Cabinet ministers and local MLA Jennifer Rice were also noted with appreciation at this week's Prince Rupert City Council Session, with Mayor Herb Pond noting of some of his conversations from Budget week in Victoria.
The week also saw some national attention towards some bureaucratic guidance on the use of the term British Columbian.

We also noted this week of the recent conclusion of negotiations to resolve some outstanding issues from the Nisga'a Treaty, the resolution of those talks noted by the Nisga'a Nation the week prior.

For our readers from the Terrace-Kitimat region, Skeena MLA Ellis Ross was mentioned twice in the record for the week in the Legislature from February 26-29, 2024.
The pace of energy development and focus that it has been for many First Nations made for a presentation from MLA Ross on Monday in the Chamber.
The Skeena MLA also noted of the plans of a BC start up company, Edison Motors and their efforts to establish their retro fit trucking business in the Terrace area.
Mr. Ross serves as the BC United critic on LNG and Energy
The Skeena MLA also addressed a range of themes featured as part of the MLA's social media work.

For our readers from the Bulkley Valley area, Stikine MLA Nathan Cullen was mentioned three times in the record for the week in the Legislature from February 26-29.
The Stikine MLAs' time in the Legislature opened during the Wednesday session, with some introductions of visitors to the Chamber from the Tlingit territory (see video presentation at 13:41 PM)
Mr. Cullen found himself in the Legislature spotlight on Wednesday with more opposition questions during Question Period related to the Land Use process in the province (see video presentation at 14:38 PM)
The Minister of Water, Lands and Resource Stewardship had opportunity to speak the passing of former Prime Minister Mulroney in the Thursday session, his remarks coming just prior to his extensive defence of the 2024 BC Budget
Mr. Cullen serves as the Government's Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship.
