As Crane's Crossing opening gets closer, North Coast Transition Society looks to fill employment positions

Closer and closer the community gets to the opening of
Crane's Crossing at Five Corners

They aren't quite ready to set a Grand Opening Date yet, but all indications suggest that Crane's Crossing at Five Corners is almost ready to welcome more of its residents, the facility to provide much needed supportive housing in the community.

As they get ready to welcome new residents, the managers of the facility at North Coast Transition Society were providing an update on the number of job opportunities available at the newest housing option in Prince Rupert through their Social Media feed.

The province first announced the plans to purchase the old Raffles Hotel for use as supportive housing back in May of 2020

At the time they had announced funding of 11.8 million towards the project, with 1.2 million annual operating subsidy also part of that announcement.

Delays and other issues have put the opening date for the facility's full use towards housing needs back a few times over the last few years.

The project missing the original opening date of fall 2021 by a year.

Follow the North Coast Transition Society's Facebook feed for updates on when the official opening is to take place.
