Today's weekly data review shows only 3 new cases of COVID recorded in the Prince Rupert area, (a decline of five from last week) the latest results among the lowest for the Northern Health coverage area.
However once you reach the Bulkley Valley and points east, the reports make for a sharp increase.
Among the regions of note, Smithers, Nechako and the larger metropolitan area of Prince George, which all feature growing case reports and likely made for the case for the additional measures introduced to the region last week.
The review for the Northwest looks as follows
Nechako -- 86 cases
Smithers -- 45 cases
Terrace -- 14 cases
Burns Lake -- 11 cases
Kitimat -- 5 cases

Nisga'a Region -- 2 cases
Haida Gwaii -- 1 case
Bella Coola Valley -- 1 case
