As Health officials keep a close watch on the pace of COVID case reports across the Northern Health Authority and surges of patients in many communities, residents of the Northwest are once again reviewing the weekly notes with some renewed interest.
This week's reports from the BC CDC notes of cases of COVID on the rise in the Prince Rupert area over the last seven days, with 6 cases now making for the count for Prince Rupert for the period of September 12 to 18.
The weekly review which was released on Wednesday, also notes that the case counts are rising for both Terrace and Kitimat which have seen increases in the reporting period
Smithers still leads the totals for the Northwest, but their numbers at 74 for the last seven days are down significantly from the 117 of last
The full review across the region looks as follows:
Terrace -- 23 cases
Burns Lake -- 15 cases
Central Coast -- 0 cases
