The BC CDC has reviewed the previous guidelines and simplified the symptom list to reflect the situations of today, as well as to create a new criteria for parents and guardians to follow for a return to school should symptoms develop.
The new symptom list focuses on key symptoms which are more specific to COVID-19: fever, chills, cough, difficulty breathing, loss of sense of smell or taste, diarrhea, or nausea and vomiting. You can review the full update here.
As part of the introduction of the new symptom list, SD52 has provided a link to a handy check list for parents to consult as part of their in home check up program.

Northern Health also reminds parents and guardians of the Public Exposures and Outbreaks listings, which track any declared situations that may be found in the School Districts across the Northern Health Region.
To date only two School Districts have recorded exposure events, one in Quesnel and the other in the Peace River area.
You can access those listings here.
