Regional District taking applications for 2018 Business Facade Improvement Program
An opportunity for North Coast Businesses to spruce up the front of their businesses is available until April 27th as part of the North Coast Regional District Business Facade Improvement program.
As part of the program, the NCRD will provide a Fifty Percent reimbursement grant up to a maximum of 5,000 dollars per building or project to improve the facades of commercial buildings.
Once the April 27th deadline has passed, the selection committee will make use of an evaluation process to determine which applicants will be considered further, the key notes related to that process are:
Does the project for which the funds are being sought meet the applicable Design Guidelines?
Will the project once complete have a noticeable impact on the street scape?
Will the renovation offer a noticeable improvement on the street scape?
Was a professional designer or architect used?
You can learn more about the Regional District's guidelines for the program here.
Funding for the North Coast program has been provided as part of the Northern Development Initiative Trust's Business Façade Program.
