In the Notice of Public Hearing, the city has set Monday, March 26th at 7PM as the date and time for the Public Hearing, which is designed to seek public comment related to the request for an amendment to the Prince Rupert Zoning Bylaw related to the property at 333 11th Avenue East.
Those who may wish to comment on the plan to adjust the zoning to allow for a supportive recovery home will be able to make their thoughts known to the Council members, prior to their review of the proposal as part of the zoning process.
A copy of the bylaw and relevant background material can be reviewed at City Hall during regular business hours until this Friday at 4:30 PM.
The Public Notice also outlines how the process for next Monday will work:
At the Public Hearing all persons who deem themselves affected by the proposed Bylaw shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard or to present written submissions respecting matters contained in the Bylaw.
If you cannot attend the Public Hearing, all written submissions (mailed, or electronic) must be received by the City Planner by no later than 12:00 Noon on March 26, 2018. Please mail to City of Prince Rupert, 424 3rd Avenue West Prince Rupert, B.C. V8J 1L7 or email to planning@princerupert.ca
