Saturday brings a North Coast opportunity to share thoughts on local family health care

It's time for a check up Prince Rupert! But this one isn't about your personal health, but instead a chance to provide some input into how the city is faring when it comes to Family Medical practice.

The Pacific Northwest Division of Family Practice is hosting an information gathering opportunity during tomorrow's Winterfest Craft Fair at the Civic Centre Auditorium, with representatives of the organization in town with a ten minute survey that will help provide more background on the experiences of North Coast residents and the primary health care system.

And to help spur on some interest and to reward you for your ten minutes, they are offering up a chance to win an iPad or a fitbit for your troubles.

They'll be at the Auditorium from 10 until 5, ready to take your comments and discuss health care themes with the public.

The organization is an independent group which seeks to improve the benefits and inspire greater confidence when it comes to the primary health care in the Northwest.

A sample of some of their initiatives in the region and more background on what they are all about can be found from the elements of their most recent report that we have selected below (click to expand) , the full annual report can be examined here.

You can learn more about the organization from their website here, as well they have a short video presentation that outlines more of their work.
