For those who may have missed the opportunity to make a submission to the Expert Panel Review of Environmental Assessment Processes during their Prince Rupert stop over, there is still a chance to make your voice heard, with the panel now accepting online submissions.
The travelling forum which was in Prince Rupert on December 8th and 9th is tasked with receiving the feedback of the Canadian public on issues related the current Environmental process that is in place, with a report to be submitted to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change in March of 2017.
The March deadline is an extension from the earlier finish time of January, with the Environment and Climate Change Minister Catherine McKenna providing that extension on December 7th providing for amended terms of Reference for the final three months of the review period.
The panel travelled to a number of British Columbia communities to gather input on the environmental assessment process, besides the Prince Rupert meetings, sessions were held in Fort St. John, Kamloops, Vancouver and Nanaimo.
