| Prince Rupert RCMP and students from SD52 have a message to share over the holidays |
Shoppers at the Prince Rupert Branch of the British Columbia Liquor Stores will be getting a message with their pick up of holiday cheer, as the Prince Rupert RCMP and local students from SD52 team up to deliver a message when it comes to the dangers of drinking and driving.
A project called "Operation - Santa's Helpers" brought the two together to give students the opportunity to draw, colour or paint their own Impaired Driving messages on paper bags that were obtained from the liquor store.
Once the artwork was complete the bags were to be turned back over to the Liquor Store to be handed out over the holidays, serving as a reminder for shoppers of the consequences on the community when it comes to impaired driving.
