A tour that many watched through the week for signs as to how the Liberal government of Justin Trudeau would approach relations with China came to an end on Friday, five days of private meetings, public events, personal tours and of course photo opportunities found what appears to have been a warm reception for Mr. Trudeau.

With the first phase of his journey now complete, the Prime Minister moves on to the G20 gathering in China, with trade and other issues high on the agenda for discussion during the various sessions ahead.
