City updates infrastructure projects for November

The City of Prince Rupert issued its latest update on infrastructure under the Re:Build Rupert banner today, with a list of the progress of some of the recent and current projects taking place through that program.

Five items were marked for inclusion in this month's listings, ranging from sidewalk work, to sewer and water main replacement projects in a couple of locations.

Among the highlights, was a look at three major projects with word of the reopening of the Rusbhrook Boat Launch, with those using the facility asked to take note that curbing on the lower section of the ramp is incomplete and will be addressed through the next few months according to the low tide cycle for the waterfront.

The Rushbrook Boat launch has now been re-opened after Improvements
to the facility were completed.

The progress of the Seal Cove sewer replacement project was also noted, with the work designed to tie in with the new road work and retaining wall around the 2200 block of the Seal Cove area leading to Bellis Road..

Work continues on a major sewer, road and retaining wall project on the
east side of the city at Seal Cove Road and Bellis Road

And with one other note of interest, the Landfill expansion project has been completed with the city now in the process of closing the original cell as the new one goes into use.

The road to the scale house at the Ridley Island landfill site has been widened to provide for better traffic flow and new new signage will soon be installed to provide better information for those making use of the landfill site for their disposal use.

The new cell of the Prince Rupert Landfill site is now complete, with
other work also finished around the Ridley Island location.
