West Side residents given all clear, as City removes Boil Water Notice in Section Two

After five days of boiling their water, residents of the Graham, Atlin and other streets and avenues of Section Two can put the pots away and slow down on the use of the bottled variety.

This afternoon the City of Prince Rupert lifted the Boil Water Notice first issued on Thursday, October 3rd, noting that the flushing of the water system in the area has had the desired effect of removing the bacteriological coliforms that were the original subject of the Notice.

The City also notes that Northern Health will continue to monitor ongoing testing and that the city's work crews will continue to conduct flushing of the lines in the area.

You can review the city's full advisory and their plans for the immediate future here.
