Sunny weather brings call for Spring Clean Up for residents from City of Prince Rupert

Sunny weekend weather brought Prince Rupert residents to
parks and waterfront areas, when you have a chance the
City of Prince Rupert would like you to do a little spring cleaning
around the homestead as well this month

With a week of sun behinds us and more to come this week, the City of Prince Rupert is taking advantage of the more enjoyable weather to ask residents to spruce up their surroundings while the sprucing up weather is good.

In a Social Media post from Friday, the City makes note of the unsightly properties/property maintenance bylaw and advises that the city's Bylaw officers are making their rounds towards enforcement, with the city administration offering up some helpful thoughts for the to do list around the house as well.

"As such, let’s take advantage of this beautiful weather, get out the scrub brushes and paint and clean-up our properties! Exterior cleaning and painting, graffiti removal, weed removal and garbage pick-up are all ways we can help make and keep Prince Rupert beautiful."

Their message to the community has spurred on some conversation on the state of the city and the way it these days, as well as some suggestions from residents back to the city officials for consideration.

Over the weekend the City also has addressed another topic  of late in the community, with a reminder of the bylaw that is in place related to Dog Control and clean up.

More notes from the City of Prince Rupert can be explored from our Council Discussion archive.
