Perhaps reflecting some of those concerns, the City of Prince Rupert has once again reminded the public of the options available to reduce the need to make a trip to City Hall.
In a Facebook Post from Monday, the City highlighted some of those options particularly related to payment of bills and fees. Noting that if you must come to City Hall, you are asked to book an appointment wherever possible.
The policy of reduced access and need for appointments was introduced last year upon the arrival of COVID in Canada and concerns locally over the potential for spread.
Since then a range of other measures have been put in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, including some related to the City Council Sessions, which have excluded the public for a number of months now and now are conducted by remote means through a telephone call in version of civic governance.
