City Council members host the second and final of the Regular City Council sessions for the month of March tonight, a Zoom session set for a 7PM start.
The evening will begin with an opportunity for comment on the 2021 Budget Process, with the City's Financial Officer Ms. Corinne Bomben relaying for Council any comments and/or questions she has received to date as part of the city's email correspondence plan for consultation in 2021.
Planning themes will dominate much of the discussion tonight it appears, with six reports set to be delivered to Council by the city's contract planning firm iPlan.
Included on the list is a reveal of the proposed location for the Ecotrust led Urban Garden project, which has been listed as at 225/227 Second Avenue West, which is the site once used by Farwest Bus Lines many years ago, a stretch of downtown that has been vacant since they left.
The iPlan planners, will also share their findings on consultations in the community towards proposed Bylaw Amendments
Council will also receive a report from their Operations Manager as Richard Pucci seeks Council's permission to apply for funding towards a civic plan for an organically based wetland system to be used to treat the community's liquid waste
With Public Orders in place towards Social Gathering, a note posted to the Agenda Page for tonight's session indicates the this evening's meeting once again will be a remote participation affair, with no members of the public allowed into the Chamber.
Tonight features an opportunity for participation in a modified Committee of the Whole, with a presentation from a delegation from Ecotrust Canada among the items listed on the Agenda.
Those with an interest in tonight's council session can view the Live Feed from the City website, or on Cable Television from CityWest Cable Channel 10/310.
