Prince Rupert's Airport shuttle terminal will see passengers once again in late June with the return of Air Canada service to the city |
The Prince Rupert Airport Authority has announced that Air Canada service will make its return to the city on June 22nd, with the resumption of the daily flight to and from Vancouver.
With the announcement, YPR notes that airline bookings are now available through the Air Canada website.
The announcement of the return to service will make for a near five year gap between the last flight of January 18th and the first flight movement since set for June 22nd.
Since mid January, Air Canada has continued to operate flights out of Terrace and Smithers.
There were no further details released as what contributed to the decision to make the return, though it could be related to the prospect of larger passenger volumes heading towards the summer months.
