With the Metlakatla Elders/Seniors Village moving along at a nice pace
the City is about to take on some infrastructure work on the roads
around the new facility

With the work on the Metlakatla Elders/Seniors Village heading towards the home stretch, the City of Prince Rupert is making plans to replace the sewer and road infrastructure in the immediate area adjacent to the new housing development.

In a Request for Bids with the Bid BC site, the City posted the details to their replacement program which will see work related to Sanitary, Storm and Water Replacement elements, broken down into three segments: Intersection of Green and 7th; 7th Avenue East; Green Street.

The Key Aspects of the project include:

A mandatory Information meeting for the project has been set for April 9th at 2 PM at the 7th Avenue/Green Street site.

The deadline of applications to be delivered to Guneet Uppal the project coordinator is 2 PM on April 15th.

It's the second time that the City has put the project out for a bid, the first came one year ago with no decision seemingly made at that time to move forward on the work.

You can review the full scope of the project from the BC Bid website here.
