City Council Preview: Monday, April 8, 2019
With few items on the Agenda for the night, the City Council members may be wrapping up their duties for the start of the month shortly after they start the night's business.
Only two items are listed on the Agenda for the evening, one a matter of a variance application and the other moving forward with the Budget process, with only the Budget Direction element perhaps providing one final opportunity for some expanded comments on how the Council six and the Mayor view this years Budget decisions.
Other than that element from the agenda, the Inquiries from members of Council portion of the night may offer the opportunity for Council members to share some comments with residents on any issues of concern or interest from the membership.
Prior to the Regular Council session of Monday evening Council members will also host a Special Closed Session planned for 5 PM, the Council membership citing two elements of the Community Charter for the closed session.
(k) negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a municipal service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in the view of the council, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality if they were held in public.
(j) information that is prohibited, or information that if it were presented in a document would be prohibited, from disclosure under section 21 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
You can review the Full Agenda Packages for the Regular Council Session from the City's website here.
