They may not have a storefront office yet like those of BG Gas and Pacific NorthWest, but the proponents behind the Aurora LNG project are looking for what would seemingly be their first Prince Rupert based employee.
One of the first signals of forward momentum for the proposed Digby Island project comes by way of the Careers section of the company website.
As Nexen/CNooc, the parent company for Aurora LNG launch their search for a Prince Rupert based, Health, Safety and Emergency Response analyst.
The position is one which will support the coordination of health and safety related functions and requirements for the Aurora Project, while ensuring compliance with the Operations Management Policy.
The range of Job Duties and Responsibilities, as well as the Qualifications required for the position can be found here.
The deadline for applications is January 22, 2015.
The project which is in the early stages of its Environmental Approval process, recently settled on the Digby Island location as its preferred site for LNG Terminal development.
More on those developments can be found from their Community update of September 2014 found here.
As well, you can review the progress of the Aurora LNG project from our archive page here.
