At Monday's Council session, Mayor Jack Mussallem outlined some items of interest from his recent meeting with members of of the Kitimat-Stikine Regional District.
At that session, he discussed their efforts on provincial revenue sharing with local government and heard an update on their Northwest BC Resource Benefits Alliance Initiative.
The Mayor observed that the latter was a project which the City had some interest in and that the City was giving consideration into becoming a community partner with that initiative.
In his closing thoughts on the session with his counterparts from Kitimat-Stikine, the Mayor advised that Council would be receiving a report on that initiative for further consideration in the future.
