MLA's week: November 20-24, 2017

Appearances in the Legislature for North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice this week appear to have been limited to the call for votes, with Ms. Rice not making any statements, or engaging in the discussion on themes presented through the course of the four days of Legislature work in the House in Victoria.

Our look at some notes on the work week that just concluded, can be found below:

On the week, Ms Rice was not listed  in the accounts of the sessions of the Legislature from November 20 to 24 .

Ms. Rice is also a member of the committees listed below, Transcripts of their work are available on the individual pages for each Committee.

Select Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs

Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth

For our readers from the Terrace-Kitimat region, this week found Skeena MLA Ellis Ross tackling two issues of note, with aquaculture and resources among his themes, the latter focusing on LNG development and the approach the NDP government is taking towards that industry in the province.

Aquaculture makes for discussion theme for Skeena MLARoss in Legislature

British Columbia's LNG competitiveness makes for debate in Legislature session

Mr. Ross is also a member of the Standing Committee on Legislative Initiatives, Transcripts of the work of that committee is available on the Legislature website

The MLA's will return to their work on Monday morning, November 28th.

There is more background on the North Coast and Skeena MLA's available from our MLA's Week Archive as well as our General Archive on the Legislature.
