The City of Prince Rupert is wasting no time in implementing their recently announced hiring plans, with two new job opportunities now available on the Career Opportunities page of the City website.
The newest listings include the quest for a Building Inspector and a mechanic for the City's Public Works Department.
The surge in civic employment opportunities began in the Spring, picking up the pace when the Mayor outlined how the City would be making use of some of the money from the Legacy Corporation as part of its Major Projects Budget.
That plan to spend some of the money for the Major Projects Budget obtained through the Lot 444 revenue, was developed in closed door sessions of council during the previous two months.
You can review some of the earlier job postings as part of that initiative from our item of May 15th.
More items on discussions from Prince Rupert City Council can be found on our archive page.
