Once the Directors for Skeena- Queen Charlotte Regional District are elected to office on Saturday, one of their first tasks of business will be to remember that they are going to need to memorize new way to get to work.
The Regional District office will be relocating to a new location in the Besner Block in Downtown Prince Rupert, with the movers starting the process of shifting the office on November 24th.
Making for a four day process that will see the offices closed to the public while the move takes place.
The SQCRD hopes to be up and running in their new locale by December 1st, the new offices but a short hop, skip and a jump away from Prince Rupert City Hall.
The new location, providing perhaps a new opportunity for the two levels of government in the region to find some common ground, all under the watchful gaze of the statue of Charles M Hays.
For those that will have business with the Regional District after December 1st the official address for the new office is Number 14, 342 3rd Avenue West, Prince Rupert, BC, V8J 1L5
