City seeks members for Tourism Prince Rupert Board

Your chance to have some input into the region's Tourism industry is now available through a pair of positions on the Tourism Prince Rupert Board of Directors.

The City of Prince Rupert has put out the call for volunteers for two, 2 year term positions on the Board, looking for those willing to make the commitment to help shape the future of the community.

Applicants are required to provide a letter of interest as well as a written description of their skills and experiences as they relate to the Tourism sector in the region, the deadline for applications is July 14th.

The City has provided a detailed look at their policy towards Board and committee appointments, noting how it is one based on merit, with the City committed to equity and diversity within the community.

Towards those goals, they are welcoming applications from visible minority group members, women, First Nations persons, persons with disabilities, persons of minority sexual orientations and gender identities, as well as others with the skills and knowledge to engage with diverse communities.

Those with an interest in the Tourism Prince Rupert Board position can contact the Corporate Administration Department at City Hall for more background on the work and responsibilities of the Board members.
