Regional District seeking members for Recycling Advisory Committee

Two spots are now available on the
Regional District Recycling Committee
Recycling, it's one of those issues that can make for heated debate in the community, with any number of opinions on how the City or Region are succeeding or failing at the concept of how best to address the theme.

Whether it's the state of conditions at the Regional Recycling Centre over a long weekend (stand by on Social Media on Tuesday for possible observations on that) or how to best make use of the Ridley Island Road Landfill site, everyone seems to have an thought or two.

And now a chance to turn thought to action, as Regional District seeks out Two Volunteers to sit as members of the Regional Recycling Advisory Committee.

That North Coast Regional District Committee hosts 7 members who are appointed to the two year term, with a mandate to advise the Board on matters respecting recycling in the North Coast solid waste management area.

If you have an interest in serving on the Committee, you are asked to provide a written submission to the office of the North Coast Regional District by Wednesday, April 19 at noon.

The written submission should include a short biography about yourself, and should also outline your background and related interests.

To learn more about the Committee and the duties required, contact Daniel Fish at 250-624-2002 ext 2, or by email at dfish@sqcrd.bc.ca

You can examine some details of the NCRD recycling program from the Regional District website here.
