City starts search for Assistant Operations Manager

The City is looking for some help for
the Operations Department for 2017

The job opportunities listings are active once again at Prince Rupert City Hall, with the City posting a call for applicants for the position of Assistant Operations Manager.

The opportunity which is a full time - exempt position was posted to the city's website last week, with a deadline for applications set for March 24th.

Among some of the attributes the city is looking for in candidates:

A high degree of initiative, exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to manage people and projects relating to construction, operation and maintenance of the infrastructure in a municipal or related sector.

The City suggests that the position is one that offers satisfaction for a detail oriented individual who thrives in a multi-faceted environment and can exercise patience and sound judgment when dealing with customer complaints and difficult situations.

The position reports to the Operations Manager.

The posting comes as the City heads into what is expected to be a busy period of dealing with civic infrastructure issues, with the Shawatlan Raw Water Supply project and a large scale downtown repaving program, among some of the projects set to get underway.
