School District Budget Consultations to start in January

The annual process of putting together the School District 52 Budget will get underway in the New Year with the Board of Education hosting the first Information session on that theme on January.

The first meeting of the process is planned for Tuesday, January 26th in the Multipurpose Room at Charles Hays Secondary School.

The meeting will make use of the "world cafe" form of discussion, allowing participants to share their thoughts on the different themes through the use of smaller discussion groups.

One particular focus that the Board will be looking to seek further feedback on will be the management of transportation costs in the district.

The January meeting is the first of four meetings planned as part of the process, the remaining three sessions will take place as follows.

Monday, February 15, 2016 -- Meetings with Partner Groups
Thursday, March 10, 2016 -- Public Meeting
Tuesday, April 12, 2016 -- Regular Board Meeting, Budget to be Submitted for Approval

More information on the Budget Process will be provided as the School District moves closer to the dates of the meetings through the 2016.
