August brought movement on Aurora LNG proposals for North Coast

The percolating LNG industry on the North Coast saw a bit more movement over the late summer, as one of the early entrants into the growing list of would be LNG terminal developers filed a bit more paperwork on their proposal for the region.

The month of August was one of forward momentum for the proponents of the Aurora LNG proposals for the North Coast, as the Environmental Assessment Office moved the application process further ahead on the paper work front.

A string of announcements from the EAO in August provided for advisories that a twin path for Aurora could move ahead. 

Aurora LNG, the Chinese backed project from CNOCC/Nexen is looking at two potential sites for their proposed LNG shipment terminal. 

One at Grassy Point and another on the southern end of Digby Island, the Environmental process for both potential sites was moved forward on August 21 and 22.

Following those notifications, the EAO then moved forward the Environmental Assessment aspect of both site options
